Applying the Pythagorean theorem

  width = sqrt%28%2813cm%29%5E2-%285cm%29%5E2%29+=+sqrt%28144cm%5E2%29 = 12cm

P(Distance around) = 2%2A5cm+%2B+2%2A12cm+=+34cm

A = 5cm%2A12cm+=+60cm%5E2
