The perimeter of a rectangle is 25 cm less than five times its lengthhighlight%28x%29   

Find the width of the rectangle if it is 5 cm less than the lengthhighlight%28x%29  

    P = 5x-25cm 

        5x-25cm = 2x + 2(x-5cm)  

              x = 15cm, the length, the width is 10cm

and 

CHECKING our Answer***

 50cm = 30cm + 20cm
