Question 558819: What is the area and perimiter of a rectangle with one side of 11 mm and a diagonal of 61 mm?
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let x= length
11 = width
61 = diagonal
By Theorem of Pythagoras,

Reject x=-60!
Perimeter = 2W + 2L
Perimeter = 2*11+ 2*60
Perimeter = 22 + 120 = 132 mm
Area = L*W
Area = 11*60= 660 square mm.
