27 is odd, so not divisible by 2, but 2 plus 7 is 9 and 9 is divisible by 3, so 27 is divisible by 3: 27 divided by 3 is 9, one factor of 3

9 is divisible by 3: 9 divided by 3 is 3, two factors of 3

3 is prime: 3 factors of 3.
