The length of the rectangle can be computed by using the Pythagorean theorem:
sqrt%2810%5E2+-+6%5E2%29+=+sqrt%2864%29+=+8.
Hence the perimeter of the rectangle is 2(6 + 8) = 2*14 = 28.
