I need help finding the perimeter of a rectangular backyard which is 6x + 6 yards. If the width is x yards, find a binomial that represents the length.
I don't where to start with this. I thought you would use the P=2(l + W) formula but it doesn't seem to work here?

The rectangle is L by x, the perimeter is given as 6x + 6, so we have:

2L + 2x = 6x + 6
2L = 6x - 2x + 6
