You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello,
Let's first convert the feet to inches. We know there are 12 inches in each foot so:
48 times 36 will give you the answer. I'll let you figure this out. Make sure you label it square inches.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! There are two ways to do this problem. You can change it to inches first or last. I prefer to change it last in this case because if you multiplied by 12 first you would have some pretty big numbers. How to do this is to find the area of the rectangle in feet first. SO it's 4*3. Which is 12 feet. But it's in feet, not inches. So you multiply 12 feet*12=144 inches. That's your answer! Hope that helped!
You can put this solution on YOUR website! What is the area in square inches of a rectangle that measures 4 ft by 3 ft ?
---------
4 ft. = 48 inches
3 ft. = 36 inches
----
Area = 48*36 = 1728 sq.in.
