How do I solve for the lenght of the rectangle(x)?
:
A simple ratio equation
3%2F8 = 6%2Fx
Cross multiply
3x = 8*6
3x = 48
x = 48/3
x = 16
;
Check on a calc: 6/16 = .375 and 3/8 also = .375

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
width of rectangle =W= 6
ratio of the width to the length L is 3:8.
W:L=3:8
6:L=3:8
by equality rule product of extreme numbers = product of mid values
6*8=L*3
24=3L
L=24/3=8
So Length = 8
Width=3
