You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if the length of a rectangle is 6 times the width and the area of the rectangle
is 150 then what is the perimeter of the rectangle
:
Let x = the width
it says,"the length of a rectangle is 6 times the width", therefore
6x = the length
:
Area = 6x * x
6x^2 = 150
x^2 = 150%2F6
x^2 = 25
x = sqrt%2825%29
x = 5 units is the width
and
6 * 5 = 30 units is the length
:
Perimeter = 2(30) + 2(5) = 70 units
