W=L%2F2
substitute in
L%2BL%2F2=12
3L%2F2=12
L=24%2F3
L=8ft

go to W=L%2F2, substitute+L
W=8ft%2F2
W=4ft

so, the length L=8ft and width W=4ft

the area is:
A=L%2AW
