You can put this solution on YOUR website!

given:
the perimeter of a rectangle is P=234m
The length is twice as long as the width:
L=2W....eq.1
What is the length and width?
P=2%28L%2BW%29
2%28L%2BW%29=234m
L%2BW=234m%2F2
L%2BW=117m...........substitute L from eq.1

2W%2BW=117m
3W=117m
W=117m%2F3
W=39m

go to
L=2W....eq.1 substitute W
L=2%2A39m
L=78m

so, the length is 78m and the width is 39m
