2/3 the perimeter of a square is 16:

Multiply both sides by 3/2, giving you p (the perimeter of the square) on the left.

%283%2F2%29%28%282%2F3%29p%29+=+%283%2F2%29%2816%29
p = ??? (for you to calculate)
Then divide the perimeter by 4 to get the length of each side.

If  2%2F3 of the perimeter is 16,  then  1%2F3  of the perimeter is half of that, i.e. 8 units - hence, the perimeter itself is 24 units.


If the square has the perimeter of 24, then its side length is  24%2F4 = 6 units.     ANSWER
