(2)    L + W + L + W = 760    (perimeter)

====> (92 + 3W) + W + (92+3W) + W = 760.   It is your equation for W.


Simplify:

       8W + 184 = 760,

       8W = 760 - 184

       8W = 576  ====>  W = 576%2F8 = 72.

Answer. W = 72, L = 92 + 3*72 = 308.
