You are given:
+L+=+3W+

Substitute this for +L+ in
the formula for perimeter
+P+=+2%2A%283W%29+%2B+2W+
+P+=+6W+%2B+2W+
+P+=+8W+
You are also given +P+=+48+ m
+48+=+8W+
Divide both sides by +8+
+W+=+6+
and
+L+=+3W+
+L+=+3%2A6+
+L+=+18+

The width is 6 m and the length is 18 m
