You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For the rectangle,
perimeter=2%2813.5cm%2B6.5cm%29=2%2820cm%29=40cm .
So perimeter=40cm .
For the square,
x= length of the side of the square, so perimeter=4x .
since the square must have the same perimeter.
system%28perimeter=40cm%2Cperimeter=4x%29---> 4x=20cm--->x=20cm--->x=5cm
The length of the side of a square is highlight%285cm%29 .

a wire bent in a shape of a rectangle of sides 13.5cm and 6.5 cm was straightened and rebent into a square.
find the length of the side of a square in proper statements
:
Find the length of the wire by finding the perimeter (p) of the rectangle
p = 2(13.5) + 2(6.5)
p = 40 cm
Find the side of the square with this perimeter
40%2F4 = 10 cm is side of the square
