Question 705183: My question is on rational expressions. It says "Determine when the rational expression is undefined" and the problem is . I have tried to make the denominator equal zero but that didn't work. Answer by josgarithmetic(39618) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Try again. What values of x will not work in the rational expression? Make the denominator become zero. What value of x would this be? Why can you not let x equal that number?
If you will set the denominator to zero and solve for x, then you will know for which value of x the denominator will be zero.
