Question 422916: where would the graph of the equation intersect the y-axis for y-3=5/3(x-6)? i put -7 but i guess thats wrong the only three answers left is -6, 13, or -3 Answer by htmentor(1343) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! y - 3 = 5/3(x - 6)
Putting in standard form gives y = 5/3x + 5/3*(-6) + 3 -> y = 5/3x - 7
So the y-intercept is -7. Your answer would appear to be correct.
