Question 390486: I'm having a lot of trouble graphing this rational function:
How do I graph the function f(x)=(x+4)/(x^2-16)?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! How do I graph the function f(x)=(x+4)/(x^2-16)?
----------
Factor the denominator, then reduce it to f(x) = 1/(x-4)
Pick values for x and find f(x), or y.
y = 1/(x-4)
x....y
0....-1/4 --> (0,-1/4)
1....-1/3 --> (1,-1/3)
2....-1/2 --> (2,-1/2)
etc
Find as many points as you need, plot them, draw a smooth curve thru them.
That's how you graph anything.
--------------
You can use Excel to do the calculation.
