You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.y=+-%284%2F7%29x%2B7
2.6x+-+4y+=+5
Use 1 equation to get 1 variable in terms of the other, then substitute into the other equation.
That way you isolate and solve for one variable. Then you go back and solve for the other.
In this case, the first equation can be directly substituted into the second equation.
6x-4y=5
6x-4%28-%284%2F7%29x%2B7%29=5
6x%2B%2816%2F7%29x-28=5
%2842%2F7%29x%2B%2816%2F7%29x=33
%2858%2F7%29x=33
x=33%287%2F58%29
highlight%28x=231%2F58%29%29
Now use eq. 1 to solve for y, you could use either.
y=-%284%2F7%29x%2B7
y=-%284%2F7%29%28231%2F58%29%2B7
y=-%282%29%2833%2F29%29%2B203%2F29
y=-66%2F29%2B203%2F29
highlight%28y=137%2F29%29
