When you found f(2) you got it right, but it's not equal to 2. Look!
f%28x%29+=+3x%5E2 Subsitute x = 2.
f%282%29+=+3%282%29%5E2
f%282%29+=+3%2A4
highlight%28f%282%29+=+12%29
Notice that it's f(2) = 12 and not 2 = 12!
