First multiply both sides of the equation above by z:
z^2/9 - 9 = 0
Next multiply both sides of this equation by 9:
z^2 - 81 = 0
Now solve for x:
z^2 - 81 = 0
(z+9)*(z-9) = 0
So either z+9 = 0 or z-9 = 0. Solving we have:
z = 9 or z = -9
