Question 181463: If someone has a little time to help me I'd appreiate it a lot. I have a big test coming up and I really need help with this work...
15X^2 + 19X - 6
I have to find all possible zeros, use sythetic division to find rational zeros (or find rational zeros and then use synth. division. I am never gonna be absent to math again no matter how sick I am...)
The I have to write it in standard form.
Please! If someone could please help me... Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
15X^2 + 19X - 6
----------------
I graphed this trinomial and found it has zeros at x=-1.528.. and x=0.262...
-------------------
You don't find answers like that using synthetic division; you use the
quadratic formula.
---------
x = [-19 +- sqrt(19^2-4*15*-6)]/30
x = [-19 +- sqrt(721)]/30
x = [-19 +- 26.851..]/30
x = [-19 + 26.851..]/30 or x = [-19 - 26.851..]/30
x = 0.262.. or x = -1.528..
