Question 1137314: Evaluate The function of the given value of the independent variable and simplify:
f(x)=x^2-2 : find f(x-3)
Every answer I come up with is f(x)=X^2-5.However,according to my test that is not the correct answer. These are my options
a.) x^2-5 b.) x^2+9 c.) x^2-6x+9 d.) x^2-6x+7
By looking these and knowing that X^2-5 is incorrect my next guess is
d.) x^2-6x=7.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+f%28+x+%29+=+x%5E2+-+2+
+f%28+x+-+3+%29+=+%28+x+-+3+%29%5E2+-+2+
+f%28+x+-+3+%29+=+x%5E2+-+6x+%2B+9+-+2+
+f%28+x+-+3+%29+=+x%5E2+-+6x+%2B+7+
d) is correct
