First thing you do when you factor is ask yourself if there is a GCF, which there is. 3 is the largest number that goes into both 33 and 6. First thing you do is write down the GCF and open up parentheses. 3( ). Then you want to fill in the parentheses with the missing factor. (Since 33y+6 divided by 3 is 11y+2, 11y+2 would go inthe parentheses)
So the answer is 3(11y+2)
