You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+4=6(x-1)
Distribute 6 on the right side.
2x+4=6x-6
Subtract 2x from both sides.
4=4x-6
Add 6 to both sides.
10=4x
Divide 4 from both sides.
x=10%2F4

ANSWER: x=10%2F4, or, to express it as a decimal, 2.5
