You can put this solution on YOUR website! rate per person * number of people * time = quantity.
rate per person is what you want to find first.
number of people is 14 electricians.
 time is 18 days.
quantity is 1 job, the job being to wire a new housing subdivision.

 formula becomes:

 rate per person * 14 * 18 = 1

 rate per person = 1 / (14 * 18).

now, if you have 24 electricians working at the same rate per person, then you get:

rate per person * number of people * time = quantity becomes:

 1 / (14 * 18) * 24 * time = 1

 solve for time to get time = (14 * 18) / 24 = 252 / 24 = 10.5

it would take 24 electricians 10.5 days to do the same job working at the same rate per person.
