You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Jessica, 1%2Fx
John, 1%2F%284x%29

You could also say,
Jessica, 4%2Ft
John, 1%2Ft

The choice of x or t was arbitrary.

%284%2Ft%2B1%2Ft%29%2A11=1------this form will make answering the question asked be a little easier. Solve for t.

4times Jessica + Jessica= 11 In one hour:
1/4j+1/j= 1/11 Multiply all denominators by 11j
11/4+11= j
11/4+44/4= j
55/4=j
j= 13.75 hours it takes John. And Jessica? Well, 13.75/3= 3.44 hours.
