You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10 men complete a job in 14 days
--------------------------------
1 man will take 10 times as long to do the job, so
-------------------------------------------
1 man completes a job in 140 days
----------------------------------------
4 men can complete the job in 1/4 of that time, so
---------------------------------------------
4 men can complete a job in 35 days

"if they work at the same rate?" What do you mean?

Try it this way.
Let r = the rate for ONE man, assuming each man works at this rate.

10r%2A14=4r%2At, doing the one job and using the uniform rate idea, RT=J for rate time job. The factor used with the number r is for how many men are doing work, since the rate of any group is the sum of the individual rates, and all of them being r. t is the time, unknown, in days for the group of four men.

Just solve for t.
