You can put this solution on YOUR website!
RT=J, uniform rate, J is amount of job.

________________rate________time_______job
Lindsay_________(___)_______t-5________1
Kimmie__________(___)________t_________1
Together________(___)_______6__________1

You must find expressions for the rates using RT=J, as R=J%2FT.

________________rate________time_______job
Lindsay_________1/(t-5)_______t-5________1
Kimmie__________1/t________t_________1
Together________1/6_______6__________1

Their "together" rate is the sum of their individual rates.
highlight_green%281%2F%28t-5%29%2B1%2Ft=1%2F6%29.
This equation uses just the variable, t, for time in days for KIMMIE to do the job alone. Solve for t.
