You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(# of dishes)/(# of minutes) = (# of dishes)/(# of minutes)

(10 dishes)/(4 minutes) = (25 dishes)/(x minutes)

(10)/(4) = (25)/(x)

10/4 = 25/x

10x = 4*25 ... cross multiply

10x = 100

x = 100/10

x = 10

It will take him 10 minutes to wash 25 dishes.

-----
Use a proportion::
time/dishes = time/dishes
--------
t/25 = 4/10
----
t = 25(4/10)
----
t = 2.5*4
----
t = 10 minutes

Hi!
Solution:
4/10=0.4 therefore it means it takes 0.4 minute to wash 1 dish therefore 25 dishes will be 0.4*25= 10 minutes :)
