x/60 min = 5 gal/1.75 min

x = 60(5/1.75)
----
x = 300/1.75
x = 171.43 gallons

Convert one hour to 60 minutes
+5+%2F+1.75+=+x+%2F+60+
Multiply both sides by +1.75%2A60+
+300+=+1.75x+
+x+=+300%2F1.75+ gallons
You can do division
