You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let time taken by hose A to fill the pool = A hrs
time taken by hose B = B hrs
and time taken by both hoses together = C hrs
According to the formula
1%2FA%2B1%2FB=1%2FC
i.e. 1%2F3%2B1%2FB=1%2F2
1%2FB=1%2F2-1%2F3
1%2FB=%283-2%29%2F6
1%2FB=1%2F6
this means B = 6 hrs
So hose B takes 6 hours to fill the pool.
