You can put this solution on YOUR website! Add their rates of digging to get
the rate of them digging together
Ryan's rate:
(1 hole/5 hrs)
Castel's rate:
(1 hole /6 hrs)
I want to add their rates to find
(1 hole)/(x hrs)
Multiply both sides by
It will take them about 2.73 hrs
to dig the hole working together
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Well if Ryan dug a 10ft by 10ft hole
(thats 1,000 cubic feet of dirt)
in five hours, thats 200cubic feet of dirt a hour.
Then if castel can dig the same hole in 6 hours.
thats 166.66 (or 167)cubic feet an hour.
Now if they were to work to gether at there same rates
they would dig a total of 367 cubic feet an hour.
Wich in turn means thay can dig the hole in
2.72 hours(or) if you round it 3hours!
WOOHOOO! WHO THA MAN! LOL. WELL THERE YOU GO.
