Question 1152144: Harper is painting a cabinet. He needs 1/4 gallon for the four sides and the top. How many gallons will he need?
Using the answer to the previous question, what 2 whole numbers does the solution fall between?
My issue is not knowing if it’s 1/4 gallon for each wall + the roof or just 1/4 of a gallon for the entire cabinet. The answers are either 1/4, with 0 & 1 being the answer to the 2nd part or 1-1/4 gallons, with 1 & 2 being the whole numbers... I’m not certain 0 is a whole number though...

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

He needs 1%2F4 gallon for the four sides and the top.
since the question is how many gallons will he need, I assume 1%2F4 gallon is what he needs for each side and for the top

%281%2F4%295=5%2F4
Using the answer to the previous question, what 2 whole numbers does the solution fall between?
5%2F4=11%2F4=> 5%2F4%3E1
whole number greater than 5%2F4 is 2
1%3C5%2F4%3C2
