You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two employees are painting walls. A takes twice as long as
B to paint the same area. During a typical 8-hour day, A
works the full 8 hours, but B takes a 2-hour break. A paints
one wall in a day. How many walls do both employees paint
together in 1 day? I need an explanation on how to ...

A paints 1 wall in 8 hours.
B can paint 1 wall in 4 hours, (since he paints twice as fast as A.)
Therefore B paints 0.5 wall in 2 hours.
And therefore B paints 1.5 walls in 6 hours.
In 1 day A paints for 8 hours and B paints for 6 hours
So in 1 day A paints 1 wall and B paints 1.5 walls.
So in 1 day they paint 1 + 1.5 = 2.5 walls
