Question 1007604: The question is the+sqrt%28+%284s%5E2%29%2B%2816t%5E2%29+%29+The answer is 2+sqrt%28+%28s%5E2%29%2B%284t%5E2%29%29+. I don't understand why the 4 would be taken outside to become a 2 and why the 16 would only reduce to 4. I thought that because 4 is 2 squared that you could take that out as well. Sorry If my thinking makes little sense. I have been really struggling with understanding this question. Thank you for any help you can give me.
