the problem is: (x+3)/(x^2-x-2) + (x-1)/(x^2+2x+1)
the answer i get is 2x^2+x+5/(x-2)(x+1)(x+1)

1) 4√10/3 a^3b^5 multiplied by 4√24a^2b^3 ( the 4 is suppose to be small like an exponent.)

1) (√7 – 3) / (√7 + 2)
2) (2√3) / (2√3 - 3√2)
3) (2√2 - 3√7) / (3√2 +2√7)
3) (5√3 -4√5) / (2√5 +3√3)
this is in fraction form! the one that are in radical sign please dont get the radical of it if it has a decimal!!

Question 652734: how do you simplify 7 x's the square root of 48
I simplified square root of 48 as the square root of 16 x's the square root of 3
the square root of 16 becomes 4
then I multiplied the 7 x's 4 (28) and placed it next to 3 with the square root sign over it. I think my answer is wrong.

Question 656517: I'm to use properties of rational exponents to simplify the expression, and assume all variables represent positive numbers.
(2x^1/5)^5
I got 2x^(1/5)(5/1)
I cancelled out the 5s and was left with just 2x, however, the book says it should be 32x. I know 2^5 is 32, but how would I raise it to the 5th power if I cancelled it out?

Question 659126: This is from adding, subtracting and dividing radical expressions.
The directions say divide and if possible multiply.
sqrt(72xy)/2*sqrt(2)
I did this 2*sqrt (72xy/2)= 2*sqrt(36xy)= 2*6*sqrt(xy)=12sqrt(xy)
The book says I should have 3sqrt(xy) as the answer. Is there a step I'm doing wrong?
