Question 32069: Hello. Here is my question. I know how to solve this problem if it didn't have the second square root in front of the "x" on the left of the equality. I would show you work but all I have been able to do is move the -1 over to the left side (as a +1). After that, I can't do anything else until I get rid of the squareroot in front of the "x". Here is the problem: .
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Question 32498: These probably seem pretty simple, but I'm sorry, I still need help. A little explanation helps me greatly. I appreciate your help and time.
1)Is square root x squared =x an identity (true for all values of x)?
2) For the equation x-square root x=0, perform the following: a) solve for all values of x that satisfies the equation. b) Graph the functions y=x and y=square root x on the same graph (by plotting points if necessary). Show the points of intersection of these two graphs. c) How does the graph relate to part a?

Question 27239: ok i had this test and thers this one problem that says simplify,
the problem is the 6th root of 81x^10,
its hard to type out symbols but it'd be a square root sign only 6 out side of it, and inside is 81x^10. I put the answer as x outside of 6th root of 81x^4,

Question 32920: how would you solve the problem:
m^16-25=0
and set it equal to zero... i don't know how to do it with m^16. but a normal one would look like:
16y^2-25=0
(4y-5)(4y+5)=0
4y-5=0 4y+5=0
4y=5 4y=-5
y= 5/4 y= -5/4
but i dont know how to do it with m^16...
i get as far as:
m^16-25=0
(m^8-5) (m^8+5)=0
m^8-5=0 m^8+5=0
m^8= 5 m^8= -5
please do it and show the work...thanks :)

Question 33429: not from a book.
6 squareroot of 45 +2 square root 80
i did it 2 different ways. which is correct.
let\ stand for square root for this problem.
first way
6\9\5 + 2\10\4\2
6\45 + 2\80
6*3\5 +2\10*2\2
=6\9\5 + 2\5\16
