Question 600805: I am not getting this at ALL :( I am a complete math IDIOT, and I really need the steps to be explained so that I understand, telling me to simplify isn't necessarily something that I understand as I am a hands on (visual learner) and if I can't understand how to perform the steps, then I will surely be lost when it comes time to take my final ... only 2 weeks away, and this is the last class between me and the NURSING PROGRAM :)
Simplifying Radical Expressions :
sqrt(25x^4)
sqrt[3](24x^9)
sqrt[3](32x^8) Found 3 solutions by mananth, stanbon, josmiceli:Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! sqrt(25x^4)
= sqrt(25)*sqrt(x^4)
= 5*x^2
=====================
sqrt[3](24x^9)
= cbrt(8x^9)*cbrt(3)
= (2x^3)*cbrt(3)
============================
sqrt[3](32x^8)
= cbrt(8x^6)*cbrt(4x^2)
= (2x^2)*cbrt(4x^2)

cheers,

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use these general rules:
and
--------------------
-------------------- ( is this the problem?) ( sometimes I write it the long way ) or
--------------------- or
----------------------
Hope this helps
