You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt(2a)=2 [Square each side]
[sqrt(2a)]^2=(2)^2
2a=4
a=4/2
a=2
.
check by plugging (a=2) into the original equation.
sqrt[(2)(2)]=2
sqrt(4)=2
2=2
