Question 538685: help me solve +sqrt%28x%2B4%29=x%2B2+

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+sqrt%28x%2B4%29=x%2B2+

+%28sqrt%28x%2B4%29%29%5E2=%28x%2B2%29%5E2+

+x%2B4=x%5E2%2B4x%2B4+

+0=x%5E2%2B4x%2B4-x-4+

+0=x%5E2%2B3x+

+x%5E2%2B3x=0+

+x%28x%2B3%29=0+

+x=0 or x%2B3=0+

+x=0 or x=-3+

When doing the check (which I'll let you do), you'll find that only x=0 works.

So x=0 is the only solution.
