simplify sqrt(24) to 2*sqrt(6)
move -2x to the right side and get
2*sqrt(6)=3x
divide both sides by 3

You can also write this as x=sqrt%2824%29%2F3
This was originally written wrong. The original problem should have been:
sqrt%2824-2x%29=x
square each side
24-2x=x%5E2 or 24-2x=-x%5E2
x=-6, x=4

so the only real solution is x=4
