You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%284x-1%29+%2B+6+=+9
sqrt%284x-1%29+=+3
4x - 1 = 9
x = 5/2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%284x-1%29%2B6=9
sqrt%284x-1%29=9-6
sqrt%284x-1%29=3 squaring both sides
4x-1=3%5E2
4x-1=9
4x=9%2B1
4x=10
x=10%2F4
x=2.5
Check sqrt%284%2A2.5-1%29%2B6=9
sqrt%289%29%2B6=9
3%2B6=9
9=9 correct
Answer: x=2.5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
√4x-1 +6 =9
isolate radical
√(4x-1)=9-6=3
square both sides
4x-1=9
4x=10
x=10/4=5/2
