You can put this solution on YOUR website!
New machine = 1x/3
Old machine = x
Together = 8
EQUATION:
1%2F%28x%2F3%29%2B1%2Fx=1%2F8
3%2Fx%2B1%2Fx=1%2F8
3x%2Bx=%28%28x%29%28x%29%29%2F8
4x=x%5E2%2F8
32x=x%5E2
x%5E2-32x=0
x=0 or x=32
Hence, it would take 32 minutes.
