POWERS AND ROOTS OF SCIENTIFIC NOTATION:
Calculate: (1*10^2)^-2
In a previous problem: (3*10^-4)^3 the answer turned out to be 2.7 * 10^-11. I have no idea how they got that. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Calculate: (1.0 x 10^2)^-2
=(1.0 x 10^-4)
=1/1000 or 1.0x10^-4
In a previous problem: (3*10^-4)^3 the answer turned out to be 2.7 * 10^-11. I have no idea how they got that.
(3*10^-4)^3
=3^9 x 10^-12
=27 x 10^-12
Now, divide the 27 by 10 and multiply the 10^-12 by 10 to get:
2.7 x 10^-11
