Factor what's under the radiucal:

y=2%2Aroot%283%2C8%28x-3%29%29-1

The cube root of 8 is 2 because 2³ = 2*2*2 = 8

Take the 8 out from under the cube root and
put its cube root, 2, in front of the radical:

y=2%2A2%2Aroot%283%2Cx-3%29-1

Then we nultiply the 2 by the 2 and get 4

y=4%2Aroot%283%2Cx-3%29-1
