Question 442665: Find the coordinates of the vertex of the graph of the equation. If necessary, complete the square on x to write the equation in the form y=a(x-h)^2 + k. Do not graph the equation
y= (x-5)^2 + 3
I know the choices are
(-5,-3)
(3,-5)
(-3,5)
(3,5)
(5,3)
can someone pleas show me how to work this problem?
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website! In the problem, they tell you that vertex form is
They give you
So, we know that h =5, and k = 3.
The vertex is the point (h,k).
So the point is (5,3).
Hope this helped!
