Question 344740: Hello,
I am in Geometry, and we are required to use algebra to solve for angles and measures. But I've stumbled upon something I have forgotten in algebra. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the problem:
9x^2 + x - 1 = x^2 + x + 7
I have already managed to do this:
9x^2 + x - 1 = x^2 + x + 7
8x^2 + x - 1 = x + 7
8x^2 - 1 = 7
8x^2 = 8
*This is where I get stuck.
How do I get rid of the x squared so all i'm left with is the value of x? Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
