I was wondering if you could help figure how to work a couple of radical equations. I tried them tons of different ways but I don't think I have the right answers. I also have problems with 4th and 5th roots
1) square root of 1/2 plus 3square root of 3/8. I got square 2 over/divided by 2 plus 3square root 6 over/divided by 2.
2) 5th root of 1/8. I got 5th root of 4 over/divided by 2. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) sqrt (1/2) = [sqrt 2]/2
3sqrt (3/8) = (3/2)sqrt(3/2)= (3/2)[sqrt 6]/2= (3/4)sqrt 6
Adding you get [2sqrt2 +3sqrt6]/4
2) is correct
