then got 3r+2=12
the i did 3r+2=12
-2 -2
and got 3r=10
then did 3/3 and 3/10
which gave me r=3.33
and when i check the problem it doesnt work.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the equation is sqrt%283r%2B2%29=2%2Asqrt%283%29, then your answer should be r=10%2F3 (which in decimal form is r=3.333 ). For the check, I'd use the fraction answer to avoid round off error.
